Terms of Use
By using Max Cam Scanner (the “App”), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the App.
1. The service
The App scans documents with the camera, imports photos and PDFs, reads text offline (OCR), turns scans into PDF, DOC, or Excel, adds annotations, watermarks, and drawn signatures to PDFs, and stores files in shared workspaces.
2. Accounts
- Without an account you can still scan and export. Files are stored on your device only.
- Workspaces require Google sign-in. You are responsible for activity on your account.
3. Workspaces, roles, and storage
- Owner: everything, including deleting the workspace. Co-owner: the same as the owner (members, roles, invites, deleting files, rollback) except deleting the workspace or changing the owner. Editor: add files and save new versions. Commenter: open files, comment, and request signatures. Viewer: open and download only.
- Every save creates a version. Deleting a file removes all of its versions and comments and cannot be undone. A rollback adds the old content as a new version.
- Free users have one workspace of their own with 50 MB of storage. Files uploaded by members count against the Owner's storage.
- Invites are sent by email and can only be accepted, within 7 days, by the Google account with the same email.
- Owners are responsible for who they invite. All members can see the files in a workspace.
4. Pro subscription
Pro provides ad-free export, larger workspaces, and AI mode once available. Price, billing period, and cancellation follow the Google Play or App Store terms shown at purchase.
5. Ads
The free version shows ads. Before export you may be asked to watch a rewarded ad. You can always skip it, but the export is not created if you skip.
6. Signatures
The signature feature places an image of the signature you draw onto a PDF. It is not a certified electronic signature and does not verify identity. You are responsible for making sure it is acceptable for your purpose.
7. Your content
- Your documents remain yours. We claim no rights to their contents.
- Don't scan or share content that breaks the law or infringes copyright or other people's privacy.
- OCR results can be wrong. Check them before relying on them for anything important.
8. Prohibited use
Don't misuse the App, for example by sending spam invites, trying to bypass access or storage limits, reverse engineering the service, or disrupting the system.
9. Availability & liability
The App is provided “as is”. We work to keep it running but don't guarantee it is free of interruptions. Keep copies of important documents elsewhere. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for data loss or indirect damages.
10. Termination
We may suspend access that breaks these terms. You can stop at any time and delete your account on Delete account & data.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia.
12. Changes
These terms may be updated. The effective date above will change, and for important changes we let you know in the app.
