1. App purpose

Pretio helps you scan products, save prices, compare local values, optionally search for online information, export saved data, create Shopping List receipt PDFs, and remember useful shopping information. Pretio is not an online marketplace, payment service, financial service, price-verification service, or store operator.

2. Price information

Saved prices and product information depend on the data you enter or record. The Best Price shown by Pretio is calculated from your locally saved price history; it is not fetched from Google or another online source. Store prices, promotions, taxes, package sizes, delivery costs, and availability may change. Online search results may also be incomplete, delayed, inaccurate, or shown for a different product variant. Always confirm the seller, product, package size, final price, and purchase terms before buying.

3. Local catalogs and location

Pretio may show links to retailer catalogs, Product Highlights, and promotions that are relevant to your current country, province, or city. The list of supported locations and available catalog links may be updated remotely by Max-Q Studio without an app update.

Catalog availability is informational only. Retailers control their own prices, promotions, validity periods, stock, store coverage, websites, and terms. Pretio does not guarantee that a catalog applies to every store in an area or that a listed promotion is still available. If no catalog is available for a supported location, Pretio may indicate that no catalog is available yet.

Pretio determines the country context from the country selected for your Google Play account through Google Play Billing configuration. This Google Play country is not necessarily your current physical location and may change if your Google Play country changes. Pretio resolves Google Play country for each app session and does not store the Billing configuration result as a persistent Country setting or future Country authority. Pretio may cache country-specific Location V2 directory content locally and persist country-scoped canonical identities for selected provinces, states, regions, cities, or municipalities. On a later launch, Google Play country is resolved first and saved subdivision identities are validated against it; neither cached directory content nor saved subdivisions determines Country. Country is not manually editable in Pretio.

You may select province, state, region, city, or municipality within the current Google Play country where supported. If you explicitly choose to use foreground approximate device location and grant Android location permission, Pretio may use that approximate location to refine province or city only when it is compatible with the same Google Play country. Approximate device location does not change the Google Play country.

Pretio does not use a dedicated IP-geolocation service to determine the country for this feature.

4. Compare Online

Compare Online is an optional, user-initiated feature. No online comparison request is made until you select the Online action for a product.

When you use Compare Online, Pretio creates a Google Shopping search query using the current product name, the saved brand when available and not already represented in the product name, the saved package size when available, and the word “price.” Google Shopping results are displayed inside Pretio through an in-app web view. Google-owned shopping or search navigation may remain inside Pretio, while selecting an external result may open a website, browser, Android chooser, or compatible marketplace app outside Pretio.

Pretio does not scrape, extract, verify, rank, or save online offers or online prices. Pretio does not place orders, process transactions, guarantee seller legitimacy, or guarantee that a result matches your exact product. The Product Name, Brand, Package, and Best Price shown in Pretio remain Pretio data. Best Price is calculated only from your locally saved price records.

External results, sellers, websites, and apps are operated by third parties. Their content, prices, availability, delivery terms, account requirements, tracking, security, and transactions are governed by their own terms and policies. You are responsible for verifying the seller, product variant, package size, final price, and purchase terms before buying.

5. Local data and backups

Your product records, saved prices, shopping list, notes, and related shopping data are stored locally on your device unless you choose to use Compare Online, back them up, export them, restore them, or otherwise share them yourself. Compare Online sends only the product information described in Section 4 as part of the visible search query; it does not send your saved price history, stores, notes, shopping list, backups, or exports through that feature.

Pretio can export saved product and price-history data as CSV and can create a Shopping List receipt as PDF. Export files are saved only after you choose a destination through Android's file picker. Once a backup or export is outside Pretio, the selected storage provider, destination app, or recipient may apply their own terms and privacy practices.

If you uninstall Pretio or clear its data without a backup, your records may be lost. Once a backup or export file is saved outside Pretio, you are responsible for where it is stored, who can access it, and whether it remains available.

6. Free version and advertising

The free version of Pretio may display banner advertisements in a dedicated area of the app. Advertising availability, content, and delivery may depend on Google AdMob, your device, internet connection, consent choices, region, and available advertising inventory.

In the free version, an eligible export may require you to voluntarily watch a rewarded advertisement before the export is authorized. Current eligible exports include saved product and price-history data as CSV and a Shopping List receipt as PDF. Pretio explains this before showing the ad, and export authorization is granted only after the rewarded-ad flow confirms the required completion.

If a rewarded advertisement cannot load, is closed early, or does not return a completion confirmation, the free export may not be available at that time. Pretio does not guarantee that an advertisement will always be available.

7. Pretio Premium

Pretio Premium may be offered as a one-time, non-subscription purchase through Google Play. While a valid Premium entitlement is active, Pretio removes its banner advertisements and allows supported saved-data exports and Shopping List receipt exports without requiring rewarded advertisements.

The purchase price, currency, taxes, payment methods, and availability are shown by Google Play. A valid purchase may be restored on supported devices using the Google account that completed the purchase, subject to Google Play availability and verification.

If a purchase is cancelled, refunded, reversed, revoked, or cannot be verified, Premium access may be removed and the app may return to free-version behavior.

8. Shopping List receipt PDF

Pretio can generate a Shopping List receipt PDF from information in your local shopping list, including the store name you enter, item names, quantities, prices, subtotal, optional tax or discount, currency, date, and calculated total.

The Shopping List receipt PDF is a planning and record-keeping document generated by Pretio. It is not an official retailer receipt, fiscal receipt, tax invoice, proof of payment, warranty document, or confirmation that a store charged or accepted the listed amounts. You are responsible for checking the entered values, calculations, and final purchase information against the actual retailer transaction.

9. Purchases, billing, and refunds

Pretio Premium purchases are processed by Google Play Billing. Pretio does not directly receive or store your full payment-card details. Purchase processing, order status, and eligible refund handling are subject to Google Play policies and applicable law.

For purchase problems, first review your Google Play order history or Google Play support options. You may also contact Pretio support and include non-sensitive order information needed to investigate the issue. Never send full payment-card details or account passwords.

10. Third-party services

Pretio may use Google services including Google Shopping results served through Google Search, Google AdMob, Google User Messaging Platform, and Google Play Billing. Google Play Billing may also provide the Google Play country used for country-level local relevance. Compare Online may also direct you to independent websites, browsers, or marketplace apps. Your use of Google and other third-party services is governed by their applicable terms and privacy policies.

11. Availability and technical limitations

Pretio is provided on an “as available” basis. Features may be temporarily unavailable because of device limitations, operating-system restrictions, connectivity, third-party service outages, website changes, maintenance, or technical errors. Compare Online requires an internet connection and may stop working if Google Search, a destination website, Android link handling, or the embedded web-view technology changes or becomes unavailable. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, permanent availability of any search result, or permanent availability of any advertisement.

12. Acceptable use

You may use Pretio for lawful personal purposes. You must not attempt to interfere with the app, manipulate advertising rewards, bypass purchase verification, misuse Google Play Billing, or use Pretio in a way that violates applicable law or third-party service rules.

13. No login required

Pretio does not require a Pretio account or Pretio cloud login for its core local features. Google services may still use your device, browser state, or Google account where applicable for Search, advertising, consent management, purchase processing, and purchase restoration. Destination websites or apps may separately require their own accounts.

14. Notifications and inactivity reminder

Pretio may request Android notification permission so it can schedule an optional local inactivity reminder approximately 72 hours after the app is opened. Reopening Pretio resets the reminder schedule. If notification permission is denied, the reminder is not scheduled and the app's core features remain available.

This reminder is a convenience feature only. Notification delivery may depend on Android settings, battery-management behavior, device restrictions, and operating-system behavior, and Pretio does not guarantee that a scheduled reminder will always be displayed at an exact time.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when Pretio features, monetization, legal requirements, or third-party services change. The updated version will be published on this page with a revised date.
